RIO FIGHT CLUB, new MMA concept in the fights' landscape.
Rio de Janeiro is one of the beautiful and most admired cities of the world.
Beaches, nice people and other beloved places are a kind of trademark of this
amazing city located in the middle of what many called the God's painting. The
scene is beautiful like aforementioned and the fight culture is World recognized
with great teams, tough fighters and intriguing stories --- however no events.

The year of 2008 just started and a new promotion led by BTT's
Eraldo Paes and
Sergio Cunha begins, this is called
RIO FIGHT CLUB and the inaugural show will
take place in
February 28th in
Hebraica Gym.
"
We couldn't forget the Rio de Janeiro's place when you first thought on making
an event. Here is the place where a lot of fighters and fans are located, and we
didn't have a single regular show." stated
Paes one of the promoters.
With many top fighters sighting international spot for their careers, a show in
Brazil need to be the place for newcomers hungry to show skills and to conquer
reputation. Thus to fill a card is a question of gathering the fighters with
this purpose inside each Brazilian team. With this deal, the promoters started
the search of names for the card, regarding that,
Cunha spoke:
"
With many extraordinary squads in Brazil we can mix Brazilian Top Team,
Black
House, Chute Boxe, Nova União, Gracie Barra(and its versions),
Renovação Fight
Team along with many other good teams which are sowing talented fighters in
local events to providing exciting matches."

Promises of fights 'to electrifying' the audience are usual when the promoters
call the attention over their cards. So
RIO FC has to make an attraction for the
fans at listing the nuances of the most important duels on
February 28th.
Three grappler versus striker matches are going to excite the crowd with what
they'll watch.
Muay Thai specialist,
Gracie Fusion's
Eduardo Pachú (4-1), takes
on
Nova União BJJ instructor,
Luis Fernando Santos (3-3).
Shooto Japan veteran,
Johnny Eduardo (Boxe Thai), faces
Greco-Roman wrestler of
Brazilian Top Team,
Marcos Maciel. This second match has a 'do or die time' ingredient for both
contestants once
Eduardo flaunts a negative resume (6-8) and
Maciel lost his
last match by TKO. And finally boxer and
Minotauro Team/Boxe Thai representative,
Will Ribeiro (8-1) takes on BJJer of
Gracie Fusion,
Leandro Issa (3-1).
Lightweight showdown put another
Shooto Japan veteran and protégé of
Renovação Fight Team's
Márcio "Cromado" Barbosa, Aritano Barbosa, against two-times
champion of the polemic
Rio Heroes Vale-Tudo,
William Viana (Tata Fight Team).
Whether
Barbosa has international experience in his background,
Vianna already
fought two 8-man tournaments to conquer belts, so don't blink during this fight.
Chess match between
Paulo Boiko (Black House) and
Danilo Moto-Serra (Gracie
Fusion), these guys have similarities on their games and they key for the
victory can be who will get the top position when the fight hits the ground.
Deep competitor,
Luis Ramos of
Nova União fights against
Mo Team League veteran
Julio Cesar "Field", representative of
Black House.
Ramos trained in three
different teams in last years and found a new home at the training in
Nova
União.
Field is among some of the best World fighters such as
Anderson Silva and
Lyoto Machida as teammates, this will be a battle involving the ilk of
Field
against
Ramos' experience and accuracy.
Gracie Barra Combat Team's
Aloisio Barros (a ZST veteran) has the tough
Julian
Soares (RFT) in his front at the
RIO FC's ring.
Barros has 10 fights in his
record and came across like the winner in five, his
Muay Thai is dangerous.
However it isn't enough against a fighter with a heart like
Soares has.
Soares
is a sort of fighter who isn't excellent in everything, but can maul his
opponents with his will-power and determination.
Little brawny
William Parrudinho (BTT) against
Rio Heroes veteran
Fabio de
Oliveira (TFT) is the first pro fight of the night. They need to display a good
pace for being reminded such as a superb duel and not just like the first of the
list.
Two preliminary matches in amateur rules will be
Richard Medeiros (Delfin)
versus
Magno Alves (Nigue) and
Fábio Bachert (BTT) taking on
Sérgio Modelo (TFT).
RIO FIGHT CLUB will be the first ever show broadcasted from
Rio de Janeiro by
the
Martial Arts Point,
IntheGuard.tv. So it is a guarantee of a high quality
service for you at live in ppv. So don't miss at
February 28th. For more
