The Privacy Policy for this website was created to reaffirm In The Guard (ITG) commitment to the privacy and security of the information collected from the website users. Read attentively the information here presented, because it shows how your personal data is collected, used and protected in ITG website. Giving personal information or navigating in the site, you will automatically either agree with the rules of use, protection and security established in this document.

The terms here described encompass the treatment ITG gives to the information capable of identifying the user, being that collected directly by its website on the Internet, or the one stored in its electronic databases through other means of collection, such as forms filled out by the customer or consults to the customer service.

This policy does not apply to companies over which ITG does not have participation or partnership control, neither to individuals who are not ITG employees or ITG contracted.

The site may offer access links to other external websites, whose contents and policies of privacy are not ITG responsibility. Therefore, we recommend the users, once redirected to other sites, to always consult the respective policies of privacy before giving personal data or information.

Regarding this policy the following considerations must be observed:

01) ITG collects personal information, capable of identifying the users when they: (i) register in our website; (ii) purchase a product/service via website; (iii) contact us via Customer Service (SAC); (iv) fill out any information form; and (v) take part in our promotions, events and contests.

02) For each type of data collection different information may be requested, according to its aim. Therefore, the users will always be informed about the data collected, being up to his/her decision to give the information or not, and, in each case, being informed of the consequences for such decision.

03) ITG also receives and stores in its servers, automatically through cookies, information regarding the user’s navigator activities, including IP and visited pages. The register of events and activities at ITG website (logs) will only be used for statistical purposes and measurement of the services offered. Nevertheless, ITG reserves the right to use such registers, on an individual basis, in case there is judicial order requesting so or on the occurrence of events that require such measures, including, though not limited to investigations promoted by ITG trying to elucidate cases of evidence of authorship or access, frauds, hackers attacks, undue alterations in the system, supply elements of proof in judicial procedures, etc.

04) The login in restricted areas of the website is conditioned to input of the user’s personal data, as well as the acceptance of navigation cookies. When deciding to supply his/her personal data, the user states to know and accept the terms of the present policy.

05) ITG website allows you to change your register data at any moment, including the option of being or not informed by ITG regarding promotions, new products and events. In order to perform the changes it is necessary to login (in the main page) clicking the link “My Register”.

Therefore, the information that goes through our purchase system is automatically encoded by a specific technological system. So, your personal data, the meansof payment chosen and all and any other information given to ITG in the purchase process is encoded before being transmitted.

07) Any information given by the user will be collected and stored in compliance with the strictest security and confidentiality standards. We will apply our best efforts in maintaining the integrity of the information given to us.

08) ITG is committed to protect the online privacy of its users under 14 (fourteen) years old, which will be collected with a proper permission from a parent or legal responsible, who should also provide his/her own identification data. Any information ITG deemed as not appropriate for under age users according to the law, will be restricted in a restricted content access.

09) All personal data collected will be incorporated to ITG database, being the latter responsible for its safe guarding and storage.

10) ITG uses the data collected for the following general purposes: (i) inform regarding new products included in the website; (ii) keep users registers updated for possible contacts by phone, email, mailshot, SMS or other communication means; (iii) improve usability and interactive experience during user navigation in the website; (iv) generate general statistics, without user identification; (v) answer users requests and spare users doubts; (vi) perform communication and relationship marketing campaigns, as well as publicize special offers from partners; and (vii) communicate with the users in order to give them information regarding the company.

14) The user who inputs his/her identifiable personal data in the website can, at any moment, request to be informed of its content, being also able to change or amend it, accessing the website in the specific area for such purpose.

15) The security and surveillance of the users’ login and password is under total responsibility of the user. We do not recommend the use of obvious passwords, such as special dates, names or numerical sequences. In case the user discovers or suspects his/her password has been discovered, he/she must immediately change it in the website register page.

16) ITG may request users’ personal data through phone or email. Nevertheless, it is advisable to verify if the information ir really being requested by ITG and, in case of any suspicion, ignore the request and inform ITG of the occurrence.

17) ITG does not request passwords, credit card data or any bank account information from its clients via email. Thus, if you receive an email with such approach, do not answer, ignore it and, if possible, forward it to talkto@itg.com.br. ITG actively fights against electronic fraud and counts on its customers and users for obtaining a safer Internet navigation.

18) When informed of a new promotion by ITG, consult the website and check its veracity. In case of incorrect information, ignore it.

Some Internet providers have offered its users some antispam tools in order to avoid undesired emails. These tools work as email blockers for emails non-authorized by the user. If you have any antispam tool installed in your computer you may not receive ITG promotional emails or even other emails during the purchase process, such as order authorization, delivery date, and others. In order to avoid this inconvenient, add the url “intheguard.tv” as authorized in your provider. Only if you do this you can receive all our emails. The present Privacy Policy is under the ruling of the legislation from the Federative Republic of Brazil. Its text must be interpreted in Portuguese language. ITG users subject themselves to the Central Jurisdiction of Rio de Janeiro State Capital Circuit Court in Brazil.

Social Engineering: Attack method in which one person makes use of persuasion and many times takes advantage of the trust or ingenuity of the users to obtain information that can be used for non-authorized access to computers or information.

Email: electronic tool to transmit messages, also known as electronic mail.

Internet: world wide network of interconnected devices. It consists of various smaller networks united by a set of common protocols.

Password: Set of characters, known only by the user, used in the process of identity verification, guaranteeing the person is really who he/she says he/she is.

SPAM: Term used to refer to non-requested emails, usually sent to a broad number of people.

SSL (Security Socket Layer): It is a security certification that guarantees the protection of the information transiting on the Internet. This certificate guarantees your data will be protected by cryptography and security key by using SSL 128 bits (the safest). In order to know if an Internet page is safe and has a SSL certification, check the bottom or top bar of the browser and see if you can find the image of a closed padlock.

User: It is every person who has any sort of access to ITG website or who registers there.

Virus: Virus is a program that can infect other programs of files in a computer. In order to perform an infection, the virus embeds a copy of itself in a program or in a file, so that when this program or file is executed it also executes the virus, continuing then the process of infection.
